Family owned and operated, Care One of Florida was founded in 2003 by Nurse Practitioners Anthony and Stacie Laviano to provide cost-effective primary care for patients in the Tri-County area of Citrus, Hernando and Pasco Counties in Florida. The Chief Medical Director of our Primary Care practice is Dr. Thomas J. Carpenter, DO who is a Diplomat of American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, with a B.S. Biology, University of South Dakota, D.O. Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Board-Certified American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. He leads a team of healthcare professionals featuring board certified doctors of osteopathy and board certified nurse practitioners who provide primary care services and serve as an advocate for their patients in coordinating the use of the entire health care system to benefit the patient.

Our Primary Care practice provides our patients with ready access to their own personal physician or to an established back-up physician if your primary physician is not available. When you or your loved ones are in need of non-emergency urgent care, our staff of expertly trained physicians and nurses are ready to provide you with top-quality, compassionate care at an affordable rate.
Both our primary clinic locations in Brooksville and in Port Richey are outfitted with the latest in medical equipment and electronic medical record systems. Care One provides a cost-effective alternative to hospital-based Emergency Department care and is staffed to address a urgent and non-urgent family health care needs including vaccinations and health screenings required for school attendance and occupational health.
